Circular Patio – East Lothian

The owners of this pretty East Lothian garden have retired and wanted to update their patio to something more stylish. With more time on their hands, they wanted plenty of space for entertaining their large family and many friends. Although we kept this outdoor space large and functional, we replaced the concrete pavers. The new circular patio design is far more dynamic and inviting.

The couple now enjoy the outdoor lifestyle. They love sitting out having lunch on their sandstone patio surrounded by fragrant jasmine, honeysuckle and climbing roses. Airy planting along the edge of the patio softens the large area of hard landscaping. From the kitchen, they look out onto architectural plants which look good year round.

Lighting illuminates the patio for sitting out with friends and family in the long summer evenings. Uplights also subtly illuminate the planting around the circular patio to add interest at night.
