Everything we design is created around an ethos of beauty, function and our intrinsic connection to nature. We advocate a life that celebrates and thrives in the outdoors. Our approach to garden design focuses on enriching peoples’ lives, as well as creating a harmony between home and garden. We excel in creating outdoor spaces that not only look pleasing but ultimately function as an extension of the home; remaining sympathetic to the environment by adopting natural planting schemes and materials, such as stone, timber and water.
You may lead an eco-friendly lifestyle and inhabit a low-energy home, but have you also considered your garden? Whether you have an urban garden that needs to absorb air pollution and excess rainwater or a sprawling rural plot that provides nectar for pollinating insects and shelter for birds, there are many ways you can make a difference.
Whether you’d like to harvest rainwater, make more sustainable material choices, reduce pollution or provide a habitat for wildlife, we’re experienced in bringing the cultivated and the wild together. We make use of existing resources, such as trees and natural paving and walling, and like to include plenty of green space in every garden project. Together, we can make a natural space that is not only good for the environment but good for you too.
Before establishing her own practice, Becca studied at the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh to obtain her diploma in Garden Design, followed by working at a local nursery offering planting advice where she built her expertise in creating natural planting schemes that look great throughout the seasons.
In 2012, Becca founded Blossoming Gardens Garden Design with the vision to create outdoor spaces that enhance peoples’ lives and transform their relationship with the outdoors. Since then, the business has worked across the UK, creating an extensive portfolio of large rural gardens and small urban gardens, featuring both traditional and contemporary designs as well as naturalistic gardens.
